Because We Have Guests

This past weekend, we had family come to town.  BUT, we don't have a guest room.  In our Phoenix home, we had a dedicated guest room.  I don't like to save a room for the three times a year that we have guests, though. We do have a toy room where we usually put our guests.  We move one of our daughter's full size bed into the room and double up the girls in the others.  It works for now, kind of a pain, and I am about 90% sure that I. is moving into the toy room this summer and getting her own room.  So, yeah.

I used to be against sofa beds, but they have come a long way and they might be the solution.  We could have a place to sleep and not have to give up our toy room. I remember sleeping and having a bar across my back and waking up kind of grumpy.  But, I've heard good reviews lately, and I've seen some pretty sofa beds.  I started kind of wondering about them when I saw them over at Young House Love a couple of years ago.

Am I crazy?  Do you have one?  What do you think of them?  Where do you put your guests?

We have one extra room in the house that serves as storage room, office, and when are have guests, the guest room. We bought a nice inflatable high queen air mattress. That way when we don't have guests we can pack it away.

We have one we have had for years. It has seen many a guest and a TON of sleepovers. We bought ours at Storehouse, but they have since gone out of business. I too hate wasting a room for a few times a year. I agree with the previous comment. There are a lot of nice inflatable mattresses these days. And, if you have guests stay in the kids rooms they are perfect for the kids in the toy room.

We used to have one but now we do what the first commenter said she does with the air bed mattress. We don't have overnight guests too often so this works for us.

We have a guest room, and both kids in another room. But really want to turn the guest room into a play room and get a sleeper sofa in there. I have family from out of time and many of them come to visit each year, like 4-5 people and deferent times. But still, I don't think it is worth having a guest room. I need a play room so bad.
