So, we are trying to be healthy, right? Want to know one of my best secret weapons? My running partners! I have logged hundreds of miles with these two. We've seen pregnancies, miscarriages, and babies. We have had husbands that have worked too much and kids health concerns. We've had super fantastic runs and lame ones. BUT, they are what gets me going.
So - find a partner. One that you know will meet you at 5 am because that is the only time you can get a run in. And you know if they say they will be there, they won't flake. And it doesn't have to be just a running partner.

This is after half-marathon #4 - I hope they aren't going to kill me for posting this.
Anyone who knows my husband knows that food isn't a big deal to him. It is easier to eat healthy because of him. He isn't craving dessert late at night. He doesn't bring home giant sodas. Food just isn't his thing, so it is way easier for me to not make it mine. He's my diet buddy.
Also, the more you talk about something, the more committed you become to it. You have a buddy who will keep you accountable. That is so helpful! Even if they aren't going to run or diet or whatever. It helps to have someone ask how your goals were.
Challenge: Find that buddy and tell them your wellness goals! I'll be your buddy - it is one of the reasons I started Fit Fridays. It holds me accountable! |

you and your buddies hardly look like you broke a sweat running your race! great photo!Love the idea of an exercise buddy. My friend and I walked today and I always enjoy her company and the exercise too.
I love it! I just had a baby 3 weeks ago so I'm not allowed to exercise yet, but I exercised throughout my whole pregnancy and I'm so ready to get back to it! I feel so frumpy! I love to get up early and exercise at 5 am and I used to have some running buddies who did it with me, but we've moved and now when I mention running that early to people they look at me like I've lost my mind. I so want some good running buddies, but I'm having trouble finding one. I keep trying to tell people that with families it is so nice to get up that early and just get it done and then have the whole day to do other things. I'm trying to reign in my diet right now. I eat tons of veggies but I can't seem to shake this sweet tooth thing I've got going right now. any suggestions? I'm blaming it on hormones! Have a good night! I plan to be back and use you for some accountability! Cool?

B is the same way as your H about food...I wish that it made me not want sweets! you have more will power than I do. I need a running buddy who will meet me at 5am before B leaves for work!
