Camp Mom Week 2

Another week has come and gone at our home.  Here is what our week looked like:

Move It Monday - trampoline games.  Ideas from here.

Totally Science Tuesday - baking soda and vinegar exploration

We dropped different colors of vinegar into pie pans filled with baking soda and watched it fizzle.  I got the idea from pinterest, but there was no original source.

What's Cooking Wednesday - my kiddos made grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of applesauce.  Yummy strawberry shortcake for dessert!

They cut the strawberries and made the shortcake.

G. became a little more comfortable with the electric griddle.

Arts and Crafts Thursday - Rubber Cement Art

You spread rubber cement on paper and then let it dry.

Next you paint over it.  We used water colors.  When it is all dry, you rub off the rubber cement.

Friday Field Trip - Denver Zoo

Two weeks down, six to go.  Having something organized and scheduled every day has been totally working!  Go here for my summer organizing plan.  As you can see, we don't have a weekly theme.  We do what struck me as interesting and something the kids would like.  Most ideas are gathered from Pinterest and are on my kiddos board.

How is your summer?

We did that baking soda trick last week and loved it! They sat and did it for a good bit then dumped all the vinegar in at one time and made a super fizz!

I love your red and white bag! Where is that from?

Looks great-- I'm sending my kids to your "summer camp"!! I think I need to get more organized to keep our summer activities active and fun. Nice job!
