Have you had a baby that needs to be held all the time? Baby J. is my fourth! While they are so little, I love just holding them and having them sleep on my chest. However, mommy's got to get some stuff done.
I made a moby wrap - for about a fourth of the cost as you can buy them. This wrap is basically just a long long piece of fabric. You can go here for tying instructions. I used a double jersey knit - and because I monogram anything I can get my hands on - I put a "j" right in the middle.
Normally, he snuggles right in - but this is what it looks like when he pops his head out and screams for mommy to be done taking pictures!
There is an excellent tutorial on Elle Apparel.

You are so creative!
I was given a moby for a gift with the first one and couldn't figure the darn thing out. I will NEED to figure it out for whenever baby #2 comes because it is just to darn cute not to figure out!
Love your monogramming!
I didn't find out about the moby wrap until after my little guy was several months old. I so want to try it with the next baby!
Fortunately I did have a sling which was a life saver. I would never have gotten dinner on the table without it!
Those wraps always make me so nervous, but your little one looks safely tucked inside. Looks quite comfy actually (for both of you)! Thanks for sharing at Etcetorize this week~
Very cool! And I actually like yours better with the monogram. You could sell those puppies to all us monogram-loving mommas. I was very blessed to receive a Moby wrap as a gift. You should have seen Ryan try to tie it up to test it. It was hilarious! He kept calling it origami voodoo because he couldn't figure it out.
