Just showing my progress for the Sew-Along.
I machine embroidered the numbers and then cut the pockets. I love the look of hand embroidery, but this momma does not have THAT much time!
I've almost finished all the ornaments. Some need a little finishing touch and all need a loop to hang them with. I am trying to really love the imperfections in them - it brings charm, right?
My next step is to sew the pockets, the tree, and the buttons to the backing. This has really been fun. I like seeing what others have done and trying to make it my own (that can be difficult when they are so cute and I just want to copy them!).

Laurel, that is precious!!! Several years ago, my MIL promised to make one for me when I had kids (she was making it for T's cousin's kids). Still no advent calendar. :s Thanks for the visit!
That is so cute! You've put so much work into that advent calendar, and I'm sure it will become a keepsake.
I've been wondering how your advent is going. It's going to look amazing. And, I have to say I really like the clean look of the embroidered numbers. Great job!
