We have come a long way though. This is the best before shot I have (pre-blogging days).
Next, we are designing the lighting. This is a project that Tom has put me in charge of, and I jumped on it! I have no idea what I'm doing, but I know how to look for inspiration pictures and copy them. We want to get the wiring in before we lay a path - the bricks are for the path that goes around the yard by the retaining wall.
I've had a lot of people ask me if we were done, yet - now you know!

You guys have made amazing progress and it looks really nice. I know you can't wait until it's all done.
Wow you sure have come a long way! I am impressed. Already it seems so worth the wait and effort. Of course it's very easy for me to say, isn't it? I'm excited to see the finale!
Wow! Your pavers look awesome! A fantastic job! Adding lighting will be like adding jewelry! Have fun planning! Can't wait to see what you decide on!

whoa! that's ALOT of pavers :) It looks amazing! Great job!
It looks great and amazing, but it does appear that my old study buddy may be bringing some of his work home with him. If that isn't a backyarad that makes a geotechnical engineer proud I don't know what is.
That is beautiful. You guys have been working very hard.
WOW!!! I know first hand how much work sod and pavers are... it's looking A-MAZING!
Your backyard looks great! What a huge difference form your before picture. I can't wait to see the rest!

Holy moley! What a transformation. And, that is a LOT of stones.
It's really coming along!!! You will be soooo glad to sit down with a glass of lemonade someday down the road and just sit and enjoy all the hard work you put in.
I usually last about 10 minutes working on outdoor projects before I call it quits - I can't even IMAGINE how long this must have took! BEAUTIFUL!! It's a good thing you don't have a pool...I'd never use it with all those neighbors being able to peek ;)
Oh your backyard looks so good. Well done.
Wow!!! That is going to look FANTASTIC when you are done! Great job!
It looks fantastic - I can't believe you did this all on your own, so impressive. I want to hear more about the lighting - cannot wait to see it all finished, because this looks finished to me!

If it weren't for blogging, do you think any of us would go thru the effort of taking in-progress pics? We've become such visual creatures!

Wow! I love your patio! My husband and I have been talking about laying a paver patio on our own, but I've been a little intimidated by the amount of work. I'm definitely going back to read your other posts about this. Your patio looks beautiful!
