Towel Hooks

Wet towels on the lying on the floor never get dry. Obvious, huh? They have to be hung up.
BUT, kiddos can't do towel bars - they just can't. They can do hooks, though. So, we threw this over the door hook on the bathroom door. BUT, they can't reach it which makes mommy or daddy have to hang up their towels. (Also, the door doesn't shut).

Hooks on the wall, at kid level, and just an arms reach from the shower means one less thing for mommy to do.

They worked so well that after every kid had bathed, I walked into the bathroom and was shocked to see every towel hanging up! I think they were excited to try it out (me, too).

I got the hooks at Hobby Lobby (of course they were 50% off, does anyone pay full price at that store?). They were white, so I spray painted the hooks and the screws. Next, I had G. come in so I could make sure he could reach, pounded in some drywall anchors, and screwed them in. Easy peasy.

Very cute idea and one the kids definitely will use. I don't have a coat closet by my back door and garage but instead I installed coat hooks. We never used a coat closet in our last house and everyone uses the hooks. It's so nice and like you said "one less thing for mom to do!"

P.S. The coat closet we never used at our last house was always empty and coats were thrown over the furniture or on the floor. Ick!

I had to go with hooks in our kids' bathroom too and it is so much easier for them to hang their towels. LOL, I agree about paying more than 50% at HL!

I love it! We put up hooks at our other house but haven't reconverted to that since we moved.

GREAT solution!! We have two full baths in our house, but all of our bedrooms are upstairs--where there is only one bath. I feel like we could save some space if we used towel racks like these. I love the way you thought to spray paint them too. Cute!

These are adorable! What a clever idea. I swapped out a towel rod for hooks and I'll never go back. It's so much nicer and simpler.

I truly thought your first photo was from a magazine!

Cute Laurel. And so easy for the kids to just hang them up by themselves!

So cute! I hope nobody buys anything full price at HLob - if they do I have some 40% coupons in my car for them!

adorable! I love the yellow! I bought the same hooks for our bathroom, in black, with our intials, to alleviate disagreements about who's towel is on the floor ;)

We changed to hooks in our bathrooms, even for hand towels. Four bathrooms meant four hand towels on the floor many times a day. And bath towels too. Now they are easy for the kids to hang up and it works.

So cute! I wish we had a hobby lobby here :( Maybe I can hunt them down online. I'm painting the kids' bath & they NEED this (as you know...)

I used to have those exact hooks but the towels being so close to each other aren't able to air dry properly. But hey, it's great that they are off the floor!
