Love Birds

It's not too late to start Valentine's Day, is it? Have you seen this book? I've owned it forever, and just stared at all of it's beautiful pictures. I have so many pages marked as things I love.

With all the work being done in the office, and most of it not being done by me, my fingers were itching. I made the birds, out of scraps from the Valentines Day quilts. What a fun project! It went together quickly and was instant gratification - yes!

These are GORGEOUS.

I've been eyeing that book forever, but feel sort of intimidated by anything related to sewing. I'm a knitter, so that feels more natural to me.

Maybe I'll give it a try!

I have a bird like that that someone made for me...too cute. I want to make hearts like that to hang. How did sew the hanger?

So sweet and perfect for Valentine's Day. I'm also reminded how much I LOVE the hardware you used on your desk project. I've looked all around for something similar, but can't find it. Can you share where you got them?!?!

Those are so cute :) Now I know why I save scraps - for neat projects like these for down the road when there's time.

Adorable, Laurel.

I may have to find that book. I did a similar thing with a book I just picked up, One Yard Wonders. I love it! So many pretty things and all only need a yard of fabric! =)

I love them! Especially hanging on that pretty white dresser. So cute! I really like your choice in fabrics too. :) Adding you to my blog roll and becoming a new follower. :

These are really cute. I want to make something like this, but I would need to think of something to hang them on. Is this a dresser you have them on? They're going on my "projects to do" list for sure.
