Grateful Sunday

I am grateful for:
seasons - I like the changes, I like the passage of time. I like having something to look forward to. I've been defending CO to my "CA is the best place in the world and why would anyone even consider living anywhere else" relatives for awhile and after having lived several years where there are no seasons, I can conclude that while I love to visit CA and other places, give me seasons any day (ooooh - we might have some more controversy in my family now because I wrote that).

quiet time- there is a mandatory quiet time in our home every day for at least an hour. I need that little bit of down time before I rush off to continue my day.

healthy kids - right now there are no snuffly noses, coughs, fevers, rashes.... at least right now. I'll enjoy it while we have it.

What are you thankful for?

It is always wise to stop wishing for things long enough to enjoy the fragrance of those now flowering. Patrice Gifford

I like quiet time, because I spend all day talking when I get home I need some quiet. No chatting, no radio or tv. It is so nice!

loved the picture of the hydrangeas- they always remind of me of Alameda- and the big bush we had in our front yard- too bad we can't grow them here!

Today: I'm grateful for the talents/gifts that I have been given which bless the lives of others, and in reverse those who bless my life with those they have been given. We have been entrusted with specific gifts at specific times, so use them!!

I am grateful that it's not 30 degrees out right now {we're not used to that kind of weather in South Florida} and I'm grateful that it's Sunday night and not Monday morning!

First, I love the idea of an instituted Daily Quiet Time. Love that!

I am grateful for so many, many things. But, on my heart lately has been my fabulous brother and sister. How wonderful to have close relationships with two amazing, funny, sweet, smart people. What luck that we share the same parents.

At least, I think we do...

I personally am feeling a little anti-seasons these days, but I know that come spring and summer I'll be back with the program - it just feels like winter has lasted since October - we didn't really get a Fall.
