It should surprise no one that knows me to hear that we decorate our home with a neutral color scheme. Lots of white, silver, browns, and greens. I love it and I make no apologies for it! I also think everything that is shown, has something that we've made.
This is our entry way (taken from the dining room):
The downstairs of our home makes a big loop - can you picture what I mean. This is our entry way looking from the family room. I love stars (and I finally finished my star, Kristi!)

In our living room, we have vaulted ceilings. This is our nice tree. All the ornaments are very neutral, just the way we love it. Here's a sample ornament hanging from it. No topper - waiting for my sister to come do it for me. Check out her blog - she's rocking the decor and does such a good job, she gets paid to decorate other's homes. Not a bad gig.

Our stockings. I made these the year I. was born and just keep adding on to them. I was itching to make nice ones last year - but my kids absolutely love these. I'd love pretty linen ones with fur cuffs, embroidered with their names.

Our paper whites sitting on our kitchen window sill. I just put a picture of these because I have never had the roots push the bulb out of the pot, but this year I have two. I'm so curious to see what happens to these guys.

We have several nativities around the home, but this is my favorite:

I wish you all could come sit around and I could just visit with you. We could sing songs around the piano. But, let's get real - I've got three demanding kids, there is NO sitting, especially this time of year. There is plenty of singing - but we're too busy dancing silly dances, oh, I can't sing.

Kids might change the vision of a wonderful evening, but they are what makes the season for me. I hope your season is filled with sticky candy cane faces, fingerprint wreaths, mis-shapen cookies with sloppy frosting, presents wrapped with a whole roll of tape . . . that's what our Christmas will be like.

I just love your house - I was telling B this weekend how in our next house I want a floorplan that can have two trees - a pretty one and a family ornament one. And your staircase banister is gorgeous, not sure I've seen or noticed it before.
