I've already have praised my labeler, and hooks. I can't praise those two without professing my love for the BIN. Simple it is, but it is an organizing must have at my home!
We use them to corral just about everything.
Of course, they are down in my basement:

We also use them in the toy room:

But I use them in my pantry:

I use them for my spices (but I don't really like this set up):

I use them in my girl's closet:

This is our arts/crafts cupboard:
Sometimes I use the lids, sometimes I don't. I use a ton of different sizes. I usually get them at Target. That is just because I started getting them there, so I just always get them there so they'll match and then stack better. I do usually prefer the see-through ones better. Although they are labeled, it still seems easier to grab what you want when you can see it.It is so much easier when things are contained. My kids (the biggest reason I organize) can grab them and take them to where they want. Then they can put them away if they just have to throw them in a bin.
This is a great time to start looking for them. You usually can find them around the holiday season, and in January they go on sale. I think they figure every one's goal is to get more organized!
So . . . what's in your bins?

YES! I love my plastic bins as much as you do! So I loved seeing your pictures.
I love it. I LOVE organization and I'm working harder to improve my organizational skills. I love bins too and have a bunch in the basement. I also use them for my craft items.
Love bins, too. Bins and baskets are life-savers. I need to start using them in the pantry. Great idea.
I never knew how great my life would be if I used bins! My closets, and everything else are a disorganized mess. I am going to try the bin method and hopefully get my life organized. Thanks for sharing!
Sigh....I wish I could be as organized as you! But thanks for the inspiration...maybe one day I'll get with it! Thanks for sharing.

I love those big clear plastic bins! I love that they stack so well and that I can see what's in them without opening them up. You have given me some good ideas for using the small ones! Thanks!
thanks for the tips! Especially the pantry bins. My pantry is so small & so deep that I cannot keep it organized, but I think this idea might work!!

I love organizing ideas SO thank you for this post! It was very motivating! I recently just re-organized my spice cabinets. I have a post on it but I haven't published it yet...I will let you know when I do! :)
Good work and thanks for sharing.
I will personally back you (financially) if you decide to open a Containers franchise in Parker. It could be like Back Door Knits with all the examples you have!
I'm at the stage in life where bins still bring back pains of college living. But I'm starting to make the switch into bins as a necessary part of organizing our life - I'll be looking for the sales!
I love those bins too !

I'm a basket girl myself, but there is something so satisfying about neatly stacked bins. I love them!
You make it look so easy. I want that life! lol The bins in the pantry is one of the best. I never thought of that.
Kelly :)
I wish I was more organized. It's a fault I'm trying to fix. I have three boys in sports and was over run with water bottles, so I organize them on the inside of the pantry door with a shoe organizer!
I have coat hooks by our garage entry into the house where I have a shelf above it. The shelf holds white small sterilite bins for gloves, umbrellas, baseball caps, etc. I use bins for tons of stuff. Right now we're packing up a son who will be leaving for two years on a mission for our church. I have to pack his whole home life into bins to be stored for two years. I can't wait for January for sales! Good thing I have bins stockpiled for just such a task! I hope you post more on your organization to give me ideas. I use them (small ones) in my fruit room also to store gravy mixes etc. and other things that just can't be stacked easily.
Laurel,

I'm a bin-lover! If I had a basement, everything in storage would be in nicely labelled bins. Storage for the girls' clothes is the hardest thing for me. :s I love your craft bins. :)
Thanks for the visit! I'm hosting a November Decorating Dilemmas Party goes up tonight at 10 pm (ET) and will be up all day tomorrow. This post on bins/organizing would be a good SOLUTION to post if you can. :) There will be another Giveaway for participants too. :) Hope you can stop by again!
I have an award for you on my blog! :)
I love your organization tips - I now have my books arranged by color, and the chargers for all electronics are in a tub, properly labeled :) We have our fair share of bins too, but somehow the kids always manage to destroy the toy ones...
Sigh. I love me some good organization. Being organized just makes me feel peaceful.
I think I need some bins in my life...bad~
I adore bins and organization. ITS THE BEST! you have done a great job organizing and storing things in their proper bins. P.S. thanks for your visit. ;) WONDERFUL family picture at the bottom of your blog!
Oh, yes, bins are great! Gotta love 'em. Thanks for sharing all of your great uses for them. I need some more. I have a closet that is calling out for bins...
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment! I really appreciate it!
I love organizing and always buy a bin when I see it on sale. I have a stack of them in classroom and basement just waiting to be used. Good luck with your class.
