Dare to DIY - white pumpkins

This week at Kim's Dare to DIY, we're talking Dare to Entertain.

We are hosting our annual Pie Party this week with as many friends as our house can hold. Most of these friends are children. So. . . there's NO WAY my china and goblets were coming out before the party.

This is my table though. I'm not sure I even want to use the word tablescape for it - that sounds too fancy. I put white pumpkins (or do we say funkins) on a white runner. A couple are raised on pedestals. Next, I use the wheat bundles on both sides.

So simple, so understated, so neutral - so me!

Have a great Thanksgiving!

PS - Don't forget to check out Kim's for some more DARING posts!

I love that you kept kept everything white but the what, and elevated that pumpkin on a white cake stand. So classy. I want to hear more about the pie party - is it like a cookie exchange where everyone goes home with a different pie or is it just a delicious night of pie eating?

Where did you find those pumpkins?! Did you paint them yourself? And are they real of faux?

I love it! It looks so seasonal but, as you said, understated. We use wheat in our decor too (from my grandparents' old farm in Kansas). Happy Thanksgiving!

I really thought I posted a comment yesterday - oh well!! I love the white pumpkins- I just put mine up yesterday to pull out the Christmas decor! Do you know the color of your walls in your dining room? Beautiful!

It looks worthy of a glossy page in the Pottery Barn catalog! Love the varying heights & the use of the white gourds & wheat. Such a magical & timeless look.
