Who can forget Drew Barrymore's office that was featured in Domino (April 08)?
I've had this picture in my inspiration folder forever. I love the settee, the table, the colors - everything! I don't have a very big budget. I can't recreate much of it, except the pillows. That I can do.
Since I was trying to use scraps, I used black that was used to make a jedi cape last October and white. My engineer husband tried to help me with the math, but it was more than I wanted to take on. I cut my 2 squares 24". Then I folded them in half corner to corner and cut it. Then I folded them in half corner to corner again and cut it. On the edges that were going to touch white, I trimmed 3/4" off. Then I cut white strips 2" in width and sewed it all together.
I did have a fabric button kit leftover, so I covered the button in black.
I think I would love this in a bright funky print - but I love that it cost me $0, about an hour of my time, and it's pretty cute (blurry, but cute)!

Very cute! I have to say, my two pillows I've made have come out looking... lopsided. I'm just not very good with the little details. =)
