My Wrapping Station

I've said before - with three kids, we have a lot of birthdays. In the month of August, we have had 5 kids parties, and about 5 grown up birthdays.

I made this little space for wrapping presents:

It's in my laundry room.

I bought cheap hooks and dowels at Home Depot. I painted the ends of the dowels white, but when I finally get around to painting this room, I'll change that. I also stick twine, that I use all the time, on the end of the hook.

I like to keep gender neutral wrapping paper. I always have brown paper and white available and usually the clear. My kids hate it, they like the bright Dora or Star Wars but I'm practical like that. Under the counter, behind the curtain is a box that holds tissue paper, ribbons, boxes, bags, etc.

It gets used a lot. Just thought I'd share.

Very neat! I LOVE that idea!!! I keep mine in an under the bed box, but it always seems that something gets crushed. :(

You are brilliant.

Such a great idea, and love the idea of the gender neutral wrapping. I never had an organized way to keep the paper (mostly left over x-mas stuff from year to year) and it'd just get crushed.
I bet you have beautifully wrapped gifts too!! I've never been a good wrapper.

I wish I had a space like that. Maybe I would be better at sending gifts if I did have a space like that. Very clever.

Wow that is cool. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am not at the point in life where I am wrapping all that much I have a baby and a 3 year old. I am sure in about two years when he starts school I will need this for sure.

I love this idea. I always set up something like this at Christmas and knock out all my wrapping within a few days-it saves your back too.
This is my first time to your blog. I also started a new KNOCK OFF KNOCK OUT party and I bet you have some things to put in the party-it's every Monday. I would love to have you submit this idea next Monday. I hope you come over and become a follower and subscribe and I will do the same.

I love the simplicity of white or brown craft paper wrapping. If your kids want to spruce it up for a friend, the can paint a design or maybe stamp it. That would be neat. :)

That is amazing. I love the craft paper too since there are both boy and girl parties and the paper is gender neutral. Great use of space.

I like it a lot, even if your kiddos don't. ;) Maybe they could dress up the paper with stamps, or crayon/marker drawings? :) You can do so much to change up brown paper with ribbon! It looks great!

Good idea! I usually only wrap in brown craft paper, too. It might be boring, but the simplicity is really pretty.

I'm hosting "My project under 15$" at my place, mamantattoo.blogspot.
I'm not telling you to make some pub.
My point is:
The linky crushed, but I put back the 5 link there was, only I mistaken Katie's wrapping station with yours, and end up putting yours (with you name) on the linky (and then Katie's...)

I'm sorry for the mistake, and I tell you cause I think you should know... And not think some weird gal put a link at your blog for fun.....
so, sorry If you don't like this, I did not meant to.

But you know, it's a great little project you have there.

Great idea. I always seem to be forgetting where I put my wrapping paper and end up buying more! This idea will keep me organized and save me money. Thanks!

Okay I just came to visit the party and realized we are wearing the same thing!! Let's just say you were wearing a great outfit and I loved being able to copy it!

That is terrific! Peter Walsh from TLC would be so proud! The simple papers make the area so much calmer too. With all those parties, a moment in that beautiful wrapping area is probably a treat.

That is fabulous - and I'm envious that you have space for something so handy. All our gift wrap is in a box in my closet - not exactly handy. Thanks for sharing! :)
