Opinions Please . . .

You know this shower curtain we all love, right?

I don't have any showers that need curtains. BUT, I'm thinking of copying it and making drapes for my master bedroom. I've had such a hard time with this room. I'm going very slowly - isn't that always my case. I've probably gotten about 25 fabric samples for drapes and nothing is what I want. I think I'm going to go with a classic white linen. Would it look cheesy if I put the ruffles on the bottom? Two of the panels will be hidden by the nightstands, which I'm going to sand and stain - later. But maybe it might bring in the femininity that this room needs. What do you think? I want to work on these during when my sister-in-laws come next week for sewing week.

I think those would be absolutely darling, but brace yourself...all that ruffling will be a lot of work. You might just consider putting a few rows of ruffling at the top especially since two of the panels will be covered by the nightstands. Either way, I think those will look awesome. Good luck, and post pics! Happy sewing.

I'm in a ruffle phase, so you might want to discount my opinion as biased, but I say go for it. I'm doing ruffled curtains for our guest room right now, I'm in love with the ruffle!

Okay - I'm going to give you my opinion but I think I might be wanting one for my shower! How pretty - where have I seen them? PB? Okay on to you - I definitely think you should go for it and do the linen white, ruffles on the bottom and in order to avoid them being hidden by the nightstands could you have them bunched or gathered to the opposite side of the nightstand? Does that even make sense? Or I think long white linen curtains would look nicely draped with a pull back and you could even put the ruffles on the top? Hope you understand something I said!! Good luck and can't wait to see what you come up with!

I keep thinking I am going to add ruffles to the bottom of a denim skirt. So cute!!

I think ruffled curtains would look adorable there! Although I would probably be more likely to do the ruffles at the top so that they're not hidden by the nightstand.

Or do them at the bottom and pull the curtains to the side so you can see the ruffles.

I want to see them when they're done!!! Good luck!

I can't wait to see the finished project! I am not sure about the ruffles, but I am sure it would add some femininity!

I love that shower curtain...ans the ruffles. I like the height of the ruffles on that curtain too. Very...on purpose.

Lovely blog!

I think they would look great in your master bedroom! But like others, I was thinking you might want to also add a couple of ruffles at the top as well.

I think they would look great as bedroom curtains! I don't know if I would do so many ruffles. I used shower curtains to make bedroom curtains last summer. What a funny reversal.
