Do you see a problem?
When you tie it, the ribbon covers her name. So. . . where is a better place to put the name? If I put it on the pocket, then the lines will cut through it when I sew the pockets for the crayons.
What do you think?

OK, what about velcro sewn on the points where the fabric meets as a tight roll to secure it...
...and the ribbon sewn at those two points in two strips to tie in a bow?
Am I wording that coherently enough?
I love crayon rolls! A monogram makes it even cuter! What about a lower corner?
(In a smaller font, of course) :)
I don't think it's a big deal that the ribbon covers the name, but that's just me. I still think it's adorable!

So cute!! I think it looks great the way you made it!
Stop by, I gave you an award
You are so amazing!!!! I wish I was as talented as you! hope your cute family is doing well.
I agree - I don't think it's too big a deal, but I like the idea of putting the ribbon only at the ends to tie them together and make the name visible - instead of wrapping it around the roll.
I think it's cute even if the ribbon covers it. You can still see it and it's still personal. How sweet of you.
That is just too CUTE!
We really like it! Em, calls it her wallet and takes it everywhere, she's stuffing all kinds of things in it! Thanks
This is something that I would love to make for Livy. I'll have to look up the directions!
I have an award for you over at my blog! Have a great day!
What about a big button and the name rotated a little bit further from the end. Or would that prevent the roll from lying flat when it is open?
I think it's darn cute, even with the ribbon covering the name!
I can't imagine she'd care because she will just untie it and love that her name is there. You could use a tiny satin ribbon and it wouldn't cover so much of the name.
I think it's adorable.
Hi Laurel! Thanks for checking out my blog. The crayon roll is so cute! What fun things are going to create with your winnings?
