I do! I do! My only beef (I seem to always have one) is that baby towels are so flimsy. I love to cuddle my kids when they get out of the bath and help them dry off, but I end up getting soaking wet. When I. was born, we received a hooded towel that was made from a "real" towel. I love it and used it all the time. She outgrew it, so I started to look around. I LOVE
this tutorial. I have probably sewed these at least 15 times - they are so quick. Seriously, 15 minutes or so. You can do so much to embellish them, too. I like to use big towels, even for newborns. My kids love the hood, it helps the towel stay on.

It is baby season around here - everyone is having a baby or about to. This has become my go-to gift for showers. A hooded towel (I monogram them to make them that more special), a bottle of lotion and baby wash and it looks like a great gift and doesn't break the bank, plus it is something that will get used!!

I have 4 lined up to get monogrammed this weekend.
OK - my disclaimer for Tom's sake - he bathes the kids 80% of the time while I clean up the kitchen. I really only bathe them on Tuesday nights and the occasional Thursday.

We still use the one you gave to us. It is great!
I still have the two I got when my kids were born, I love this idea. My daughters even has petals sewn onto the top of the hood so it looks like a flower, maybe you could try that too. Thanks for sharing
When I was born someone gave my mom that exact thing and I used it for both of my kids' first baths. Then a good friend of mine gave me one when Caleb was born and I love it! Great gift and very well used.
You have so many great ideas. I've never made one, but I do use regular sized, super-fluffy towels for my babies. I never liked the ones from the baby departments because they are so thin!
I think I have seen this tutorial before and it looks easy, but then I am such a beginning sewer that I still might mess it up! Thanks for reminding me, though. I too hate the flimsy and not-big-enough baby towels! Have a great weekend!

Those towels are so cute...the rick-rack is darling!
I agree about the flimsy towels. I use regular ones on Miss K so I can snuggle with her after :)
We'd put those celebrities way out of business if we could just figure out a way to bottle that smell. We'd be rich ! Couple it with lotion that makes your skin actually feel like your baby's after a bath and we could cover our houses in gold.
Darling sweet beautiful bathed babies !
cute.
i just use regular towels...
maybe that's the prob with my kids....
