We just returned from an awesome trip to Carlsbad for Uncle Bruce's wedding. Honestly, there's not much to not like about the past week - getting to see my husband for a week, our kids playing non stop outside, a couple trips to the beach, watching my baby feel sand between her toes for the first time, a powerful, insightful sealing, pretty cool in laws to hang out with and on and on. However, it is reassuring to return home and love our home, feel at home and know that this is where we are supposed to be. We love Carlsbad, but we also love Denver!

What fun pictures! I love the action shot of G. Is he golfing? Also, do you have any good ideas for N. California adventures? My kids are out of school now until July.
Laurel, you made me miss SoCal - we lived in Oceanside for two years, so I understand the love of Carlsbad. What a fun trip.
Hey -fun to see your little family, so cute. Home is the best when you've been traveling, but so is sand in between the toes of a cuddly baby:)-Kari
Laurel,
I love that we found each other through the magical world of blogging. How funny too that you commented on my blog about my sewing projects, you'll have to tell your mom that she managed to teach me how to sew straight.
As far as my fabrics go, I go to a lot of different places. The clover fabric is from Calico Corners. The orange fabric is from Joann's. The floor pillow fabric is from a fabric mill outlet in Dallas (it's as big as a Costco, kind of overwhelming but lots of fabrics). And I just make up my patters according to the image in my head of what I want, sometimes works, sometimes...not so much. Our kiddos are about the same ages, funny. Your in Denver, is that nice?
